Revised C64 released in 1986 with a slimmer white/beige case matching the C128 and 1571 aesthetic. Uses second-generation HMOS chips: the 8500 CPU and 8565/8562 VIC-II. The SID was replaced by the 8580 which has slightly different filter characteristics — many users notice tonal differences in SID music.
